Leadership

J. H. "Hal" Roberts, Jr., C.E.O., received his B.A. and J.D. degrees from Emory University where he was an honor roll student. He served 10 years as attorney for the City of Lakeland and its electric utility. He handled environmental permitting, contacts and bond financing for the addition of two electric generating units and the first joint venture between municipal electric systems in Florida. His 30-year private practice included electric utility and industrial cogeneration consulting. He has been a member of the Licensing Executives Society and has studied international business. He has been the president of six professional, civic, and charitable organizations. He provides management, planning, and legal services for EarthLinked Technologies.

 

Robert W. Cochran, BSEE, P.E., President, an honors graduate of Auburn University, developed the EarthLinked® heat pump and Refrigerant Management System. His career includes 11 years in engineering with General Electric and 23 years in various engineering and management positions with the Lakeland, Florida municipal electric system. He is past president of the Florida Municipal Utilities Association and was one of the founders of the Florida Coordinating Group of Electric Utilities. He is an A.S.H.R.A.E. member. Mr. Cochran manages the technical activities of the corporation. He and Hal Roberts have worked together closely since 1971 on energy related projects.

 

Jerre Wilson, BSCE, Vice President and General Manager, has 42 years experience as an engineer and manager with emphasis on development and administration, including 17 years with TVA, and service as VP of three other companies. In his last position with TVA, he was responsible for a staff of 1,200 people engaged in energy conservation and alternative energy projects.

 

Joe L. Parsons, Jr., Vice President, has served as President of Ray Company, Inc., an HVAC contracting firm; V.P. of Marketing of Envirotherm Heating & Cooling Systems, Inc., a manufacturer of HVAC systems; and Director of Retail Operations for U.S. Power Climate Control, Inc. He joined EarthLinked Technologies in 1996.

 

Russell W. Bath, Manager of Technical Support, began his technical career as a machinist's mate in the U.S. Navy. His refrigeration training came from the University of South Florida, the Air Conditioning Contractors of America and the Refrigeration Service Engineer's Society. He has been employed by three heat pump companies and has been an employee with EarthLinked Technologies for over twenty years.

 

Joe Serdynski, BSME, Mechanical Engineer, has 18 years experience in the design of equipment for processing and refrigerating food for Publix Super Markets, Proctor & Gamble, and Cargill Industries. His engineering background has included design engineer with NASA-Cape Kennedy, control and test engineer with Pratt & Whitney Aircraft and research engineer with the University of Florida.

 

Charles N. High, M.S.M.E., began his career in the research department of Carrier Corporation, was a product manager, then was in marketing with Bristol Compressors and Watsco Distributors, and was the president of a furnace manufacturer. In addition to EarthLinked Technologies, his consulting clients include major manufacturers in the HVAC industry. He has consulted with EarthLinked Technologies regularly on strategic planning and business development since 1996.

Carson Cole, BSBA, Financial Advisor, formerly financial analyst and investment portfolio manager with Columbia Savings Bank, United Bank of Switzerland (Singapore), Bankers Trust and VP of Froley, Revy Investment Co; Founder and CEO of DebtTraders Group, Inc 1995-2005, with offices in NY, Chicago, London, and Hong Kong.

Whitney A. McFarlin, M.S.N.E., P.E., is an advisor and Board member. He was formerly CEO and Chairman of Angeion Corporation; Clarus Medical Systems, Inc.; and Everest and Jennings International, Ltd; and Executive V.P. of Medtronics, Inc.
